faqs.

-What if I’ve never done yoga before?
No problem! Classes can be modified to accommodate all levels. Yoga poses can be tailored to fit individual needs, and everyone can benefit from the pranayama (breathing) exercises and beginners poses. Also, feel free to contact Mary Catherine to set up a new-student private session, as one-on-one sessions can be a great way to learn about the basics of yoga before joining a group class.

-What should I bring with me to my yoga class/session?
A yoga mat (if you have one), water, a hand towel, and anything else that you might need to make yourself comfortable. If you do not have a yoga mat please let Mary Catherine know and she can provide you with one.

-What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that are not too baggy, so that you can move around comfortably without your clothes getting in your way.

-Can I practice if I am pregnant?
Yes! Mary Catherine is a certified Prenatal teacher, so she is happy to teach prenatal private sessions, or, if you're taking a group class, can give modifications for pregnant yogis. Also, be sure to check with your doctor if you don’t already have a regular yoga practice.

-What if I have a medical issue that I am not sure about?
As with any exercise program, please check with your doctor before starting a yoga practice. Please let Mary Catherine know about your condition before class, as well.
